The absurd sentence commonly arrives painted as moderation. It’s rarely angry. Oftentimes, it’s shaped as concern - for fairness, for equilibrium, for reason. It insinuates that feminism once had an apparent purpose, conceivably, even an admirable one, but has now transcended it. As if equality were a road with a marked finish line, and feminism forgot to halt.
